You are getting a foreign au pair - how exiting! An important part of all the preparations is taking out insurance for your au pair. Au pair insurance is compulsory in the Netherlands. Generally speaking, foreign au pairs must take out Dutch national health insurance to cover their healthcare costs. If this is not the case for your au pair, you can still ensure they are properly insured for healthcare costs with the OOM au pair insurance.
