Health insurance for family reunification

It is an important moment when your partner or children come to the Netherlands for family reunification. With the OOM Provisional Residence in the Netherlands Insurance they will be properly insured for healthcare costs, even if your family members are not yet covered by the Dutch national health insurance.

Insure your family members properly

The OOM Provisional Residence in the Netherlands Insurance offers cover for healthcare costs if your partner or children come to the Netherlands for family reunification. The advantages:

  • Extended healthcare cover for your family members for general practitioner, specialist care and hospitalisation
  • The insurance has an attractive premium from €96 per month
  • You can add standard dental costs to your insurance
  • You can add liability in the Netherlands to your Insurance

Care-free family reunification

You have undoubtedly looked forward to a reunification with your partner or family for a long time, but many things need to be organised too. Your family members will not be able to take out Dutch national health insurance if they are still waiting for the residence permit.

With the OOM Provisional Residence in the Netherlands Insurance your partner and children will be properly insured for healthcare costs. The insurance also meets the demands of the MVV-visa (Authorisation for a Temporary Stay entry visa). This means you can enjoy a care-free family reunification.

Dentist and liability

You can take out supplementary insurance for dental costs and liability for your partner or children.

The health insurance covers dental costs following an accident up to €350. The supplementary OOM Dental Cover, refunds costs for medically necessary dental costs which are not the result of an accident (up to €350).

Your children or partner may also find themselves in situations in the Netherlands where they are held liable for damages. You can take out supplementary insurance for such instances. Your partner or children will then be insured for damages caused by them to persons or things in the Netherlands up to €1,250,000.

Note

OOM Provisional Residence in the Netherlands Insurance can only be taken out if the applicant is a Dutch national and has a Dutch correspondence address. The insured person may have a foreign nationality, of course.
