Repatriation on medical grounds

In case of repatriation (return to the Netherlands) on medical grounds the following applies:

  • Immediately call the emergency centre (+31 (0)70 353 21 35).
  • If the repatriation is covered, the emergency centre will organise the return to the Netherlands and handle the payment.

Transport of a deceased

In case a deceased insured person needs transporting to the Netherlands the following applies:

  • Immediately call the emergency centre (+31 (0)70 353 21 35). 
  • If the transportation is covered, the emergency centre will organise the transport and handle the payment.

Search, rescue or recover

In case an insured person needs searching for, rescuing or recovering the following applies:

  • Immediately call the emergency centre (+31 (0)70 353 21 35).
  • Send the emergency centre a written statement from the official institution which instigated the search, rescue or recovery operation. Remember to note your policy number. 
  • If the search, rescue or recovery is covered, then the emergency centre will handle the payment.

Please take note of the following

  • Have your policy number to hand if you call the emergency centre; your policy number can be found on your insurance card.
  • If the costs are covered, we will reimburse the amount remaining after deducting your excess.
  • If the costs are the result of an accident involving another party, you also need to fill in the Accident report form (pdf).
