Dialysis

The OOM Studying in the Netherlands Insurance is a medical insurance for foreign young people who come to the Netherlands as a student, intern or au pair.

You will receive reimbursement for dialysis if you have received permission for the treatment from our medical advisor.

With the OOM Studying in the Netherlands Insurance you can opt for no excess or an excess of €150. If you incur costs which are covered by the insurance and you have opted for an excess of €150, you then pay for the first part of the costs yourself.

You were run over and are now in hospital. Your specialist tells you that your right kidney is not functioning properly and suggests a number of dialysis treatments. The costs are €1,475.  If you have an excess of €150, you will receive a reimbursement of €1,325 if you have received prior permission from our medical advisor.
