Transplant
The OOM Provisional Residence in the Netherlands Insurance is a medical insurance if you are staying in the Netherlands for a longer period of time but are not (yet) eligible for Dutch national health insurance.
What does the insurance reimburse?
You will receive reimbursement for a transplant if:
- the transplant is the result of an accident
- you have received permission for the transplant from our medical advisor
Transplant costs for the following tissues and organs will be reimbursed:
- bone marrow
- bone
- cornea
- skin tissue
- kidney
- heart
- liver
- lung
- heart-lung
- kidney-pancreas
Are there costs for you?
An excess applies to OOM Provisional Residence in the Netherlands Insurance. If you incur costs which are covered by the insurance, you pay the first part of these costs yourself. Per period insured your excess is €200.
An example
You are knocked off your bicycle by a car and you break your lower leg. A pin in inserted in your leg, but you remain in great pain. The doctor suggests a bone transplant. You will receive reimbursement, after deduction of your excess, if you have prior permission from our medical advisor.
