Rehabilitative day care

Whether you get reimbursement for rehabilitative day care depends on the cover you have chosen:

• Light cover: no reimbursement
• Regular and Comfort cover: all costs will be reimbursed

You will receive reimbursement for treatment in a rehabilitation clinic per day or half-day if:

• the treatment is given by a team of professionals, consisting of a (medical) specialist and a psychologist or professional social worker, ergonomist or rehabilitation specialist
• the rehabilitation clinic is authorised for rehabilitation

With the OOM Temporary Residence Abroad Insurance you can opt for no excess or an excess of €250, €500 or €1,000. If you have opted for an excess and you incur costs which are covered by the insurance, you then pay the first part of these costs yourself.

You are hospitalised for 3 weeks due to a traffic accident. After this period you go to a rehabilitation centre for rehabilitation. In the rehabilitation clinic you are treated 3 times a day for 4 weeks. The total costs are €2,220. If you have Regular cover and an excess of €500, you will receive a reimbursement of €1,720.
