The OOM Studying Abroad Insurance is a medical insurance for young people wanting to study, do an internship or work as an au pair abroad.
What does the insurance reimburse?
You will receive reimbursement for rabies and tetanus vaccinations if:
- you have been bitten, scratched or licked by an animal that may be infected with rabies
- you risk tetanus infection following a wound and preventative vaccinations do not offer sufficient protection
You can also receive reimbursement for travel vaccinations (including malaria medication).
Are there costs for you?
With the OOM Studying Abroad Insurance you can opt for no excess or an excess of €150. If you incur costs which are covered by the insurance and you have opted for an excess of €150, you then pay for the first part of the costs yourself.
You are bitten by a dog that may have rabies. You receive a rabies vaccination. The costs are €25. If you have no excess, you will receive reimbursement for the total costs.
