Transport of mortal remains
The OOM Studying Abroad Insurance is a medical insurance for young people wanting to study, do an internship or work as an au pair abroad.
What does the insurance reimburse?
On death, we will reimburse costs up to a maximum of €25,000 for:
- direct transport of the mortal remains to the country of origin and other transport costs
- a prescribed inner coffin
The insured person, who was studying abroad, dies during their stay there. The transport costs of the mortal remains to the Netherlands are €1,695. We will reimburse these costs.
