War and kindred risks

War and kindred risks is armed conflict, civil war, uprising, civil disturbance, riot or mutiny.

Usually you are not entitled to reimbursement of healthcare costs due to war and kindred risks. OOM does, however, insure healthcare costs as standard for war and kindred risks.

War and kindred risks is insured on a mutual basis. If there are sufficient funds in the insurer’s war and kindred risks fund, you will receive the cost price. If not, you will receive a percentage of the costs.
