Young Global Traveler Insurance

Three types of insurance for students, trainees and au pairs in the Netherlands

Young Global Traveler Insurance is intended for students and au pairs spending short or longer periods in the Netherlands. This is a flexible insurance policy specially designed for students, interns and au pairs. Below, you can choose for yourself what you would like more information about:

Health Insurance, SOS Insurance and Insurance Package for those in the Netherlands

With Young Global Traveler Insurance, you can choose between three types of insurance. You can decide for yourself which insurance type to take out. There are no required combinations. 

• Health Insurance in the Netherlands (this includes a free SOS insurance)
• SOS Insurance in the Netherlands (repatriation insurance) 
• Insurance Package (Household Contents, Liability, Travel, Legal Assistance and Personal Accidents) for those in the Netherlands.

Length of term of the insurance for students, interns and au pairs coming to the Netherlands

• The maximum length of term of this insurance is five years.
• The upper age limit for acceptance is 29.

It does not matter how long you take out the insurance for. Anything is possible from one day up to five years. We advise you not to make the term of this insurance too short. Extension of this insurance is generally not possible. You may, however, give notice on the same day that you wish to terminate the policy. Any excess premium paid will then be refunded. To give notice, you just need to send us an e-mail, fax or letter.

Upon your final return to your country of origin, Young Global Traveler insurance must be terminated.
